Here at Senchou, we’re determined to put more fig in your lives! For lovers of sweet and savoury tastes, fig chutney is a bit like the little black dress: it goes with absolutely everything. For the best possible flavour, we have used lovely figs from Provence, sun-soaked and bursting with flavour. Unlike a jam, fig chutney has a pleasant but not overpowering sweetness. You can therefore enjoy all the taste of the fruit with just the right balance of flavour to suit both sweet and savoury dishes. With its high fibre content and its summery flavour, there’s no reason why fig shouldn’t be a part of our diet all year round!

Suggestions

Onion confit is the perfect addition to even the simplest of dishes. It works wonderfully in burgers, adding a touch of sophistication. It can also be spread directly onto puff pastry, for a delicious tart that can be enjoyed during pre-dinner drinks. It really shines when used as a delicious accompaniment to foie gras or a quality piece of red meat.
